I’ve lost my self esteem and confidence

I’ve lost my self esteem and confidence

I am in the midst of a very ugly divorce with a narcissist, and everything I’ve read thus far describing a narcissist, describes my husband to a ‘T’. And I have fallen prey (after 30 years of marriage and 7 years of dating before that) as the one who has lost her self-esteem and self-confidence in large measure!

I’d love to hear any suggestions relative to going through this divorce.

  1. I’ve found that solitude is a bad thing to do after you leave. There are women’s groups also but I haven’t had the confidence to do this yet (I’m unfortunate in that I hallucinate them)
I felt like I was drowning at first but it gets better, although it is tiring.
I wish you well, support and hope you find some decent human beings.
Oh, and be prepared for smear from all angles, some girls may try and befriend you but do not trust with an open heart. I learnt this the hard way.

  2. I filed for divorce from a narcissist 2 years ago, right before our 26th anniversary. Yesterday was 28 years of marriage because he has delayed it this long. He doesn’t want to give me a dime, so he’s coming up with unreasonable demands. He’s on his 2nd lawyer because of those demands. I have an order of contempt on him. This is how he keeps control over me. Luckily I was able to move into my own house 18 months ago. Advice? Don’t give in to his wishes if it will make you destitute. He wants that control over you. Don’t let him see that he has control..

  3. My narcissistic is my daughter and after me being the one my grandson wanted over his own mom n now I learned I have another grandson, she didn’t even want me to know about, that hurt but for all the years that have passed, I stay worried all the time for my grandsons and I have my days that I can barely get through.
