Trying to leave a narcissist

Trying to leave a narcissist

Is there any advice that can be given to someone like myself that is trying to leave a narcissist but we are married and have a 6 month old… on no contact? Specifically no contact. I’ve improved but it’s not getting much easier.

  1. If there’s any possibility of getting a restraining order, file for one, list the baby and yourself and have the police remove him from your home. Then immediately file for divorce.
If he raises his hand against you or threatens you, you may have grounds for the restraining order.
Once you get the restraining order or leave him, block him on our phone, and your email.

I don’t know what state you live in but here in Alaska it is legal to record conversations as long as you or one of the parties involved know it’s being recorded.
So, either record with your phone or get a small digital recorder from walmart for $20 or so. Start recording as much as you can. In the end you’ll be glad you did! The recordings can be used for court proceedings (possibly) and also in weak moments you can listen to them to remind yourself of why you left in the first place. Re-listening to my recordings have reminded me of why I left and helped me to get stronger. Pray, Pray and pray for strength and protection.
